Chief Ronald A. Ricucci of the Takoma Park Police Department announces the arrest of Antonio Vaughn Smith, 43, of Bladensburg, Maryland, for 1st degree burglary and destruction of property.
On August 24, 2011, a residential burglary occurred in the 400 block of Ethan Allen Avenue. The scene was processed and the suspect was identified through fingerprints. A warrant was obtained for the arrest of Smith. The Takoma Park Police Department’s Tactical Enforcement Unit responded to Upper Marlboro, Maryland, at Smith’s place of employment, and arrested him without incident.
Smith was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
This arrest is part of a long-term burglary investigation by the Takoma Park Police Department.
